Actually that’s a good question; Hitler was democratically elected. So unfortunately yes, people are being elected all over the country whose basic goal is to shatter our democracy through voter suppression efforts etc.

Ah but there is! Not sure what yet, but if the Abolitionists could abolish slavery, the Suffragettes could pass the 19th & the Civil Rights movement could dismantle segregation, then we can handle the challenges we have. We need to develop a more convicted sense of "We got this."

Because it's a system of legalized bribery at this point, and working families can't donate the money that Raytheon, Boeing and Northrup Grumman can?
This year’s defense budget is $778 billion, with billions more than the President asked for, and no one bats an eye. And much of it goes to defense contractors.
So why is it a problem when we want to spend just $175 billion per year to help working families?
