Listening to Oliver Stone and Danny Sturjen is such a lesson in history, and in things that matter. Honoring Our Vets On Veterans Day w/ Oliver Stone & Danny Sjursen youtube.com/ZT76j8RrJZg

What a concept…
The Pentagon spends over $2,000,000,000 every single day. Meanwhile, 40,000 veterans experienced homelessness last year. What if "support our troops" meant reinvesting funds to actually provide veterans with basic necessities?

I remember. Police state stuff…and the president was bragging about it…
A man calling himself "antifascist" shot a right-wing Patriot Prayer member last year. Then federal agents killed him in his home without warning and without a trial. Trump bragged about the hit on TV: "They got him...They didn't want to arrest him, and 15 minutes, that ended."

It’s unbelievable. He has an “envoy.” They’re aiming for what Hezbollah has in Lebanon…and if not stopped then within a few years they could succeed.

If someone without a gun is trying to take a gun away from you because you’re killing people with it, you killing them is not self-defense.

Thread…💔
I weep for the squandered years, the denial, distraction and delay, during which the fossil fuel companies trashed our chances of maintaining a habitable planet. Time is now so short, and the action required so drastic, that the chance of avoiding catastrophe is slight.

The Military Industrial Complex and Big Pharma - aided by the US government - have got humanity in a stranglehold.
In the late 90s, the US ensured military emissions were excluded from UN climate talks. That was a few years after the US won WTO patent rules that favor pharma monopolies. Now there's a climate crisis and pandemic and we are seeing the horrible consequences of these global norms

We don’t - but more and more, what the people want is not what determines public policy.

No they’re not. Fossil fuel companies make multi billions of dollars in profit, don’t need these subsidies, and do more now to desecrate the earth as to advance society. The subsidies do not “advance society;” they’re a result of corporate donations, the spawn of a corrupt system

Well, killing them is one way to interfere. And which one was an arsonist may I ask?

Right. He was “interfering with the arsonists.”

So deeply wrong…
In Opinion "90 percent of the human beings subjected to the appalling conditions at Rikers are there pretrial, many because they cannot afford bail. Almost 1,600 have been waiting for a trial for over a year," writes a former New York chief judge. nyti.ms/2YAeTBr
