It’s a seriously big deal how a new generation is discovering the value of unionizing. Amazon, Nabisco, Kellogg, John Deere, Starbucks etc. The pushback is serious but so must we be. #HaveTheirBacks
John Deere UPDATE: Instead of paying workers fair wages and benefits, Deere got a Judge to block workers from striking in Davenport, Iowa…I’ll be reporting ON THE GROUND from the strikes this week @StatusCoup qctimes.com/business/local/u…

I said to Joy during the break, “Why are you doing this to me? I’m a Leftie!” She said “I’ve always been good to you.” I said “Not today, you’re not.”

She asked me. She was actually a very sweet woman.

This woman presided over the Iraq War. The problem I have is with our pretending otherwise, exalting the views of someone who helped perpetrate such an atrocity on the world. Those who failed so thoroughly in that situation should not be saying “I know” …about …anything.

Bravo to Sunny Hostin @sunny for standing up to this gaslighting. And I’ve seen it before. When I did The View in 2019, she was the one fair and real one in the midst of otherwise.
Condoleezza Rice: January 6th was wrong, but it’s time to move on. Sunny Hostin: But the past will become prologue if we don’t find out what happened before we move on. Rice: We will, but the American people have other concerns. Me: Oh, Condi. 🤦🏾‍♂️

No, this is not normal. Yes, it is aberrational. No, we should not just shrug our shoulders and go "Oh well."
In case you missed it, the wealthiest 1 percent of Americans now own a record-breaking one-third of all shares of stock, and the richest 10 percent own almost 90 percent of all shares. Never in the history of this country has corporate wealth been more concentrated.

Any effort to “violently overthrow the ruling class in America” is as naïve as it is immoral. It’s also the shortest and surest path to true fascism.

In a healthy society, a sense of right and wrong drives our economics. Today however, an amoral economic system has infused itself into every corner of our existence in ways that have wreaked chaos on our society.

Economic injustice is a moral issue. Preemptive war is a moral issue. Unfair taxation is a moral issue. Racial injustice is a moral issue. Destroying the planet is a moral issue. It’s a big mistake to not contextualize progressive issues within the context of a moral universe.

I’m all for righteous commerce & fair profit but our system now rewards unfair commerce & unfair profit. We need decent regulations, fair taxes, end corporate subsidies, end CEO stock options, Med4All, free college, end student loan debt, raise min wage, pro union legislation.
