Right now, we spend $36k a year to keep an inmate in prison. Because that money feeds the prison industry, we don't mind spending it. Better it should be spent on keeping people OUT of prison!

It’s always moving to me the way Bernie fights for dental care, hearing aids and glasses for older people. It’s so important. Younger people might not always realize how much not having those things keeps millions of people from being able to engage with life in a meaningful way.

There are high-minded conservative as well as progressive principles, but this ain't it. An economic system predicated on principles of short term profit no matter what the damage to people or planet, is not a reasonable polarity.

A serious struggle already exists and it will only grow in intensity. One side is intent on saving an inherently unjust economic system, while the other side is intent on saving human civilization.
