No it wouldn’t. We can transition from a war economy to a peace economy the same way we can transition from a dirty economy to a clean economy. For the species to survive, we must do both.

When it comes to funding the Pentagon the two parties are not a duopoly; they’re a monopoly. They’re both in lockstep with the military industrial complex.

Biden administration says it's increasing the defense budget because China is our "biggest strategic threat." Planning another war, are ya guys? If China is a threat, counter it by building up manufacturing in America, giving health care to Americans, better educating Americans.

“President Joe Biden's proposed fiscal year 2023 Pentagon budget includes $813 billion in spending for national defense, a 4% increase of $31 billion from the spending package signed into law earlier this month.” Good Lord. cnn.com/2022/03/28/politics/…

This is terrible.
The news just announced that Eric Adams now wants to destroy all 150 homeless encampments in NYC by Friday, with no plans to house the people currently living in them, if you want to talk about violence.

No. Ketanji Brown Jackson alone. If Trump had been president when Breyer retired, the corporatist lock on the SCOTUS would’ve held for at least a generation. As it is we at least have a chance.

Having run for president, I can honestly say that if the men in my life had hit every comedian who belittled me, made fun of me and insulted my honor, there might not be any comedians left.

This thread. My thoughts as well. ⬇️
The Oscars have demonstrated the power of group psychology. The room is a hermetically sealed bubble where all mores can be eradicated in a second. Do you want to understand how Trump happened? Watch the Oscars and the crowd reaction. The pull to belong is very powerful. The

That one incident wasn't great, but all in all the Oscars was very touching tonight. It's too rare now that we get to celebrate and appreciate the wonderful things that people are doing. Without the artists among us, I don't know how we would make it through these times.
