That's the point. The *leadership* needs to change. The only hope is to elect more progressives. That, or just endlessly whine:)

We can't afford that! No time for the luxury of hopelessness, cynicism or despair. They just become an excuse for not helping. Powerlessness not an option.

No it's not. That's just erasing the efforts of very good progressive candidates. And there are many. seizethehouse.com/candidates

Some people feel moved to work within the two parties, some feel moved to activate third party efforts. Most of us still trying to decide. For me, getting progressives elected in primaries in 2022 is the most important thing right now. seizethehouse.com/candidates

3/ Progressives within the Democratic party are the only hope for reform of the two-party system. Corporate Dems still trying to run them off in 2022 elections; don't let them. Among others, support @NinaTurner NinaTurner.com!

2/ Democrats used to stand unequivocally for the interests of working people in the United States. The Republicans were always more business-friendly, but they at least used to acknowledge there *was* a common good that needed protecting. Both are now corrupted by corporate cash.

Not true. There are many progressive Dems in there, working hard every day. They're outnumbered to be sure.

Not true. There are excellent progressive Dems at all levels of government, including candidates running in 2022.

The bulk of the Republican Party today represents a nosedive for our democracy; the corporatist wing of the Democratic Party represents a managed decline. The people of the US are ready to move on, to break with the past, and reclaim the core values that both used to represent.

With due respect, the problem everybody is upset about is not just your misunderstanding of Hitler. It’s your misrepresentation of the Jewish population in Germany. It’s a perpetuation of the idea that they were “other,” which is exactly what Hitler argued. Please recognize that.

Big Oil is not your friend. #WindfallProfitsTax
Shocking. Gas prices are at the highest levels ever at the same time the big oil companies are raking in huge profits. Yes, the time is now for a windfall profits tax.

True.
Don’t expect the oil companies to bear part of the gas price burden. They won’t. They could, but they won’t. They are amoral.

Sometimes life whispers & sometimes it yells; the problem with America is we ignore them both. Weather disasters, Russia in Ukraine, MBS & more: @POTUS should declare a climate emergency & use the Defense Production Act to create a warp speed transition to green energy RIGHT NOW.
