If they were caving, we’d have $15/he min wage & Medicare4All & cancellation of college loan debt. They have not been “caving.” washingtonpost.com/opinions/…

If I were president and I saved millions of people from homelessness during a pandemic including children and you called me a socialist I would so be okay with that.

You’re right. Now the issue is whether we will face that probability with complacency/fear/paralysis/and denial or with inspiration/faith/creativity/genius and love.

As long as economics is our bottom line we will continue to destroy the environment, build more nuclear bombs and systematically hoard wealth in the hands of a few. It’s not naive to choose love instead. What’s naive is to think we will survive another hundred years if we do not.

The world will begin to heal when we make the organizing principle of human civilization the diminishment of suffering. Would it change the world? It would absolutely change the world. It is the most radical idea possible.

Sorry, that’s a fairytale. When certain forces want to take out a person they use a compliant mainstream media to paint them in whatever way necessary to make the candidate least appealing to voters. The main “coalition-building” is among the political establishment/ media/money.

It’s not the design of our government that’s a problem; it’s the perversion of that design that’s the problem. It’s the money in politics that’s the cancer underlying all the other cancers.

A government that is essentially a handmaiden to corporate donors, little more than a system of legalized bribery that puts corporate profit maximization before the health and well-being of people, animals and planet.

We can transition from a dirty economy to a clean economy and from a war economy to a peace economy, but the political status quo depends on our not doing that. The status quo will not disrupt itself; that's our job.
