2/ The locus of activism needs to shift to the statehouses now, state legislatures having shifted from “laboratories of reform” to “den of thieves.” And what they’re stealing is our democracy. It’s not enough to protest; good people need to run for local & state office in droves.
1/ Voter nullification laws as well as voter suppression laws are popping up all over the country. I wonder how many Americans have stopped to consider what it means that sitting lawmakers all over America are doing what they can to cancel free elections.
