Those of us seeking to preserve democracy in the US owe a debt of gratitude to those in Hong Kong who’ve displayed such extraordinary bravery making a stand for it there. #StandWithHongKong

That's okay! That's what elections are all about. As long as we're not nasty to each other, it's all good.

$763B defense budget should be seen as off the reservation. $7.25/hr minimum wage should be seen as off the reservation. No universal healthcare should be seen as off the reservation. THOSE WHO DO NOT FIGHT FOR THOSE CHANGES: it is they who should be seen as off the reservation

CNN and MSNBC already doing that thing they do, showcasing the corporate Dem choice to run against Marco Rubio in Fl. next year. Progressive champion @AlanGrayson the far more powerful choice.

A 39 year old woman should not be under any man's control (including her father's). She works, she lives her life, and if she has issues they are hers to deal with. Outrageous and unacceptable to hold her hostage. #FreeBritney

Not at all. When people want to do the right thing there is still healthy debate about what that would look like. The point is to start making ethical considerations the bottom line, as opposed to always putting corporate profits first as though that’s some higher good. It is not

No. Huge corporate entities lobbying for tax breaks and deregulation aren’t even claiming they’re trying to do the right thing; they’re claiming that to increase revenue for their shareholders is their sole responsibility.
