We seriously need to get over the delusion that “it can’t happen here.”
On whether ICE is disappearing people, ICE spokesman for the New York field office told me the agency had "no comment."

Gandhi and MLK Jr led the two most successful political movements of the 20th century, both of them based on non-violence.

2/ Nonviolent political activism is a more sophisticated, not a naïve political theory. “Our goal is to create a beloved community and this will require a qualitative change in our souls as well as a quantitative change in our lives.” - Martin Luther King Jr.

1/ The contest between authoritarianism & democracy is not merely political; it’s a contest between 2 dimensions of human consciousness. As such, it will take a more expanded set of powers than mere traditional political activism in order to defeat the forces that would limit us.

I think you need to meditate more.

No one said it would. It’s both/and, not either/or.

It clarifies our thought processes, increases insight, calms the mind, boosts energy and makes our less prone to the negative thoughts and feelings that limit our power. Most importantly, it increases our faith that anything is possible… something we need desperately right now.

No, we need both inner and outer activism!

My tweet in no way derides or invalidates traditional activism! We need it! But the contest occurring right now is not just material & will take an expansion of our sense of self & personal power, plus a strengthening of our nervous system, to endure & transform what’s happening.

My point about meditation is that it will help us do that. It helps us both endure the chaos and transform it.

This is terrifying.

People have developed this weird attitude, at least it feels weird to me, that we only listen to the views of someone who agrees with us about everything. I don’t always agree with GG but that doesn’t mean I won’t listen to his views. Here he’s saying something very important.

This wasn’t a petty attack. The state of our news media is a huge issue, as is any other filter on information and power.

This is an important interview. I know it from experience: the so-called liberal media decides the (DNC) storyline they want to push & goes to great lengths to peripheralize anyone or anything offering a different perspective. We need real journalists, not party hacks.

Genuinely thrilled to appear on the debut show of @krystalball & @esaagar's new program after leaving The Hill, "Breaking Points." We discussed @brianstelter's unprecedentedly sycophantic CNN "interview" of Jen Psaki & the state of journalism generally: youtube.com/watch?v=3VTb8FLn…
