The thing about both Augustine and Cicero is how startlingly modern they sound. Almost eerie.

Actually, no that’s not what I meant to say. I pretty much said what I meant to say. Except about the “Proud Boys,” which is exactly what I meant to say and which in fact I did say.

I can’t be responsible for other peoples projections onto my words. I find myself having to defend things I didn’t even say. These are my beliefs.... google.com/amp/s/www.newswee…

Not fooled. I voted against an authoritarian would-be dictator and in the same situation I would do it again.

1/ Biden’s pick for Amb to Israel is Tom Nides, “currently managing director & vice chairman of Morgan Stanley. He previously served as deputy secretary of state for management & resources under Hillary Clinton from 2011 to 2013.” I can’t imagine worse qualifications for the job.

The George Floyd Policing Act doesn’t go nearly far enough - doesn’t require substantially longer or even better training, doesn’t prioritize non-violent methods of deescalation, doesn’t seek to investigate infiltration of police by white supremacist groups. It’s only a band aid.

No we should not.
When we landed on the moon, there was great collective pride in that achievement. Our space program should be something that we ALL take part in. We shouldn’t hand over $10B in corporate welfare to Jeff Bezos or Elon Musk, who are jointly worth $350B, to fund their space hobby.

Can’t find the right word for this but it’s somewhere in between disgusting and despicable.
The $15/hour minimum wage proposal appears to have completely disappeared from the Washington policy debate. Nobody seems to have thoughts on way forward

“I think for too long in America, we have heard politicians talk about the American dream without acknowledging the bigger problem, which is the pervasiveness of the American nightmare.” ~ @MayorByrd facebook.com/votecolinbyrd/

My research led me to believe differently. Clearly they’re both good people and would be infinitely preferable to Ron Johnson or someone like him.

I agree. It’s been a great loss not having him in the Senate.

Big news! Chris Larson announced he’s running to replace Ron Johnson for US Senate from WI. Thrilled to endorse. His powerful launch video says it all youtube.com/N_kmc-CAEKQ. This is such an important race. Please donate! downwithtyranny.com/post/chr…
