Someone who can spend $600 on a pair of shoes yet argues with a straight face that $300 is too much to give someone who cannot afford food, should not be a lawmaker.

Everything the world needs is possible to attain. Every child born contains within them the potential greatness to contribute fully to the betterment of the world. By willfully depriving people of what they need in order to thrive, we are literally destroying the world.

Money has such undue influence on the political system at this point that the will of the people is thwarted time and time again. Money in politics is the cancer underlying all the other cancers. We need public funding for all federal campaigns.

Health insurance companies, Big Pharma, gun manufacturers, chemical companies, food companies, fossil fuel companies, banks & defense contractors first get what they want. Then everything else is divided up - in the most paternalistic, miserly way - to give people what they need.

“Of the people, by the people and for the people” has been replaced by “of the corporations, by the corporations and for the corporations.” We have reverted to what is essentially aristocratic rule.

Gee. You almost get the feeling they don’t want to 🤔
Together, the American Jobs and Families Plans total just north of $4T. $20 billion is less than one-half of one-percent of that total. Congress could end homelessness via a rounding error.

“If they give it to poor people they call it a handout. If they give it to rich people they call it a subsidy.” Martin Luther King Jr.
Weird how $300/week in unemployment is a "handout" but $1.9 trillion in tax cuts, $800 billion in PPP and trillions to prop up the stock market is a "stimulus"

If Al Gore had been president instead of George Bush, the United States would not have invaded Iraq. So yes, who leads a country matters. Michaeli is courageously trying to make a difference and I applaud her for it.

That woman is a fantastic feminist courageously leading the labor party in Israel in an effort to replace Netanyahu. And you’re telling me I should stop? Did you watch the video? Or the one pinned at top?
