“We are seeing the rise of a new generation of activists who want to build societies based on human needs & political equality. We saw these activists in American streets last summer... We see them in Israel. We see them in the Palestinian territories.”google.com/amp/s/www.nytimes…

Had Donald Trump treated it like the crisis it was, we'd be in a much safer place today.

They've got money on their side, but we have justice on ours. Justice for the earth, justice for the Ecuadorians, and justice for Donziger.
Fat and happy. Millionaire Chevron lawyer William Thomson admitted in court yesterday that the company has been flying him First Class from LA to NY to help private prosecutors convict me. He bills Chevron $1300/hr for his “services”.

I was excoriated in my presidential campaign for going anywhere near that topic. Many people who like to think of themselves as independent thinkers are very dependent when it comes to whatever narrative Big Pharma spins.

The fine print matters though. On one hand I support UBI and did so throughout my campaign. But some who support it are suggesting it be INSTEAD of other safety net provisions, leaving many people with actually less than they would have received without it.

“Starvation wages” should not be a thing. Many people awakening now to the unfairness of a system which keeps them limited to economic conditions that obstruct rather than promote their advancement in the direction of their dreams. Economic injustice is an invisible set of chains
Let's be clear. The problem in America is not that unemployed workers are receiving an extra $300 a week in emergency benefits during a horrific pandemic. The problem is that too many employers in America are exploiting their workers by paying starvation wages with no benefits.

Caring well for our elderly should be a profession treated with honor and respect, just as caring for our children should be. Fair wages is among other things an acknowledgement of the value of one’s work; an issue of dignity as well as economic justice.

Marvelous conversation with Johann Hari about spirituality and depression. open.spotify.com/episode/6II…
Why are so many of us depressed and anxious? I discussed with former Presidential candidate @marwilliamson why, if we answer this question in a fresh way, we can find more lasting solutions. You can have a watch here: bit.ly/3tQVaHu

It’s so important to know about this. It’s a direct attack on our democracy and if we let them get away with it our democracy will be gone.
SCOOP: In a newly leaked video obtained by Mother Jones, the head of the conservative dark money group Heritage Action can be seen bragging to top donors about voter suppression legislation—including Georgia’s infamous law. Take a look: bit.ly/3hn5P9Y

I am so sorry you had to endure such ignorance and bigotry. Please don’t let that influence your experience of this country.

“Progressives shouldn’t be criticized as ‘unsupportive of the president’ when we point to failure of a policy to address the deeper needs of the American people. We’re being supportive of the people who desperately need the changes we’re pushing for.” downwithtyranny.com/post/bid…
