Nobody has to agree with anyone else 100%. No one has a monopoly on truth & everyone has their perspective. We don’t have to be grading each other all the time, we would do better just listening to each other more. When we agree we agree, when we don’t we don’t - and it’s okay!

I didn’t say it’s coming from America. It’s non-local ... a global sensibility not rooted in any one particular area, ethnicity or culture. It’s coming from an aspect of who we are as human beings.

Just as the bubonic plague was followed by a Renaissance, Covid is going to be followed by a renaissance as well. A radically new appreciation for the possibilities of life is pushing up from the bottom of things like the tiniest blade of grass pushing up from beneath the ground.

I don’t think that’s true at all. I remember having a conversation with my daughter when she was about 10 or 12 years old and she has been taught about nuclear bombs in school. The look on her face, the clarity was so profound when she said “Mommy, that’s insane.”

2/ If we were to say “A lot of children are hungry” the 6 yr old would say “Feed them.” If we were to say “The earth is hurting,” the 6 yr old would say “Heal it!” If we were to say “We spend a lot of money on ways to kill people” the 6 yr old would say “Let’s love them instead.”

1/If we were to take the average six-year-old, explain to them world problems in a way they could understand and then operationalize their suggestions for what we should do to solve them, we would have a far more peaceful world.
