No amount of private charity can compensate for a basic lack of social justice. There should be a 3% #WealthTax on billionaires.

The only way we will fundamentally alter America’s military posture in the world is if we the people demand it. #StopTheBlockade
It is absurd that Yemen Envoy Tim Lenderking could not answer if US military participation in the Yemen war is ongoing in today's @HouseForeign hearing. Congress must take action immediately to ensure that no US complicity in the Saudi led war and blockade exists. #YemenHearing

For a deeper understanding of humanity’s paradigmatic shift from a partnership relationship with nature to a dominator model. (The silencing of women had a lot to do with it.) thriftbooks.com/w/the-chalic…

There was a paradigmatic shift from a partnership model with nature to a dominator model! That’s pretty huge.

You’re right that the Romans did not practice earth-based spirituality but many pagan religions and indigenous cultures did and do. Correct?

I didn’t say that though. And Christianity today is not the Christianity that perpetrated witch burnings.

We could’ve had all those things and retained respect for nature. The early Christian dispensation that proclaimed man was superior to nature still called for proper stewardship. Environmental degradation for the sake of short term corporate profits is not proper stewardship.

2/ The environmental crisis and the political/economic corruption that perpetuate it are all fueled by humanity’s lack of reverence and devotion to anyone and anything but ourselves. An overly materialized worldview counterintuitively leads to violence toward the material world.

1/ In a very real way, the shift from a pagan earth-based spirituality to the patriarchal Christian notion of man’s right to dominate nature was a causal factor contributing to what would one day become our environmental crisis.
