“It's estimated we may have only 60 harvests left of soil, that we may not be able to grow food much longer given our current state of agriculture.” The harmful effects of the industrialization of agriculture on this week’s podcast with @DrMarkHyman open.spotify.com/episode/4cb…

"Half-measures—applied too little, too slow and too late—will be the death knell of something too beautiful to put into words. Perhaps if enough of us pre-emptively grieve, then enough of us will pre-emptively act." My new post for Newsweek...newsweek.com/too-little-too-…

This is the deal. Over the last 50 years, due to industrial agriculture we’ve lost 50% of our birds. So actually, as president I would be mentioning that in a press conference! It is a bird holocaust, and that’s actually no joke either for our environment or for our civilization.

Someone at the highest levels of the US government should hold a press conference immediately and tell the American people why the hell unarmed black men keep. being. killed. by. police. for. no. reason. at. all. NOW!!!
A police officer in Minnesota fatally shot a young man pulled over for a traffic violation in the city of Brooklyn Center, near where a police officer is on trial in the death of George Floyd. nyti.ms/3d7NYRW

We spend hundreds of billions of $ more on the military budget than our military even asks for, all so defense contractors can continue to rake in their gargantuan profits. But we “can’t afford” to help people more with health care, student loan debt, education etc...?
The Biden-Harris budget is not progressive. If it was, one of things it’d do is at least attempt to reconcile the longstanding military-vs-nonmilitary spending disparity:

All Congresspeople had to do was walk down the hall to read the classified documents. Agency officials were totally mixed about it, but most Congresspeople who voted on the issue didn’t even read the material.

I don’t get it. I did not block you. I just disagreed with you about something. Nothing unpleasant

Absolutely not. A lot of us doubted it at the time. Plenty of evidence that experts were mixed on it, yet politicians went with what they wanted to do regardless.
