One of the first things Trump did as president was to pass an executive order saying that for every regulation in any agency there had to be two corresponding deregulations. One of the first things Biden did was to repeal that executive order. Thank God.

What they don’t want us to see? That the biggest danger is not where they’re different but where they are far too much of the same: beholden to the same corporate forces that guarantee no structural reform.

It would require getting the money out of politics.

Easter is a perfect time to consider the possibility of another possibility than the one we’ve been trained to expect.

All Americans could have clean food & drinking water. We could be proper stewards of animals & earth. We could fight strongly climate change & run on clean energy. We could cancel college loan debt & truly stand for peace & democracy in the world. We could...but we choose not to.

Every American could have healthcare. Every American child could have a world-class education. Every American could have the education or training to give them a fair chance at an abundant life. Every worker in America could have a fair wage. We could...but we choose not to.

Already is. “You can have large amount of money concentrated in the hands of a few, or you can have democracy. You cannot have both.” - Louis Brandeis

No, but even if I was I would feel the same way. And I know very rich people who do.

The real enemy is money in politics. That is the cancer underlying all the other cancers.

Tens of millions are poor in America so .001% of our population can be very very rich, for no other reason than that their money floods Washington. Nothing you don’t already know but somehow it always seems to me to bear repeating. #WealthTax

If you add bloat in the defense budget, corporate subsidies, unfair tax breaks, fill loopholes & IRS neglect of collecting taxes of the richest, the money would pay for everything we need to fundamentally disrupt economic patterns that guarantee the chronic suffering of millions.

Rosanna, where do you think radioactive waste goes (we only notice it when it ends up in our neighborhood)? Perhaps this could become a serious wake up call. Finland is the only country that has been dealing with it seriously. wired.co.uk/article/olkiluot…
