They didn’t “let me on stage.” There are set requirements of donors and donations.

Good point. I think you’d like the podcast. We discussed that.

I wasn’t making a comment about that one way or the other though. And I do think the Palestinians need justice.

5/ There are people there who know this, who live ever day w/ pain & fear beyond what any of us can imagine. Sincere Muslims, Christians & Jews who do not laugh at the thought that they need a miracle. I do not apologize for telling that story. It’s not ridiculous; it’s important

4/ Well I have this to say about the Middle East. Our political establishment has not solved the problem, and it will not be solved on the level of the green line or traditional diplomacy or military action. It will only be solved on the level of the heart.

3/ It’s much like when I said the PM of New Zealand would be my first call as president. “Oh she’s so stupid.” Like when I said we should pay reparations, or see our healthcare system as a sickness care system, or realize the scourge of environmental injustice. Such a silly girl!

2/ I told Jim it was a very powerful moment & people in the room were nodding their heads. I told him that some of them told me they had seen Avatar. So the pseudo-intellectuals are having a hoot about that tonight, that I’m so naïve see, so ridiculous, so wacky & unsophisticated

1/ I’m trending tonight because people are mocking a clip of my conversation with Jim Cameron where I told him about a conversation I had with some peace activists in the Middle East. There’s a line in Avatar about how the Mother does not take sides, just wants to restore balance

The political establishment as it now exists has hardly solved the problem in the Middle East. Peace activists there, not diplomats here, know more about what will solve the problem than we do. It will not be solved on the level of the green line and many people there know that.

Trumpism represents a death spiral for our democracy & species, while neoliberalism represents a slow and steady decline. It’s the task of our generation to create a trajectory of ascension, which is a pretty interesting thing to think about during the week of Passover & Easter.

Capitalism is inherently neutral, guided either by ethics or by greed. Govt regulation exists so no capitalist overreach creates economic or social injustice & hardship. Since the '80s a trend toward deregulation has allowed American capitalism to become an exploitative behemoth

No it doesn’t, that’s why government needs to be there to do it. The President appoints the head of agencies. And higher consciousness among investors will promote a higher consciousness among CEOs. Read Michael Lewis, “The Fifth Risk”
