The fact that Mitch McConnell feels the need to public assure everyone that the purpose of voter suppression laws is not to suppress votes, means: 1) oh yes they are, 2) Repubs are nervous that people can see that, and 3) our not taking it lying down is absolutely the right thing

It shouldn’t have to be said, but a righteous person doesn’t want to create wealth at the expense of other people getting a chance to.

Bezos is not the only one. There’s an entire class of gilded CEOs who actually brag about the exploitation of workers. It needs to stop. @dailyposter dailyposter.com/p/fast-food-…

People trying to suppress the vote are reminding a lot of people how much the vote matters, and people working to undermine democracy are making a lot of people realize they care. The enemies of democracy just might be awakening a giant. #VotingMatters

The problem is that we become what we hate. Hate is like white sugar of political motivation; it gives you an adrenaline high but then you crash. Love is like the healthy food of political motivation; it gives you energy and strength over the long haul.

The world has become Alice in Wonderland.

They are universal principles at the heart of all great spiritual philosophies. It’s not about dogma or doctrine; it’s about a fundamental dedication to treating other people well.

What do you mean “We do not need another state”? Is there a quota?

DC statehood does not preclude Puerto Rico statehood. But Puerto Ricans should be the ones to decide whether they wish to seek it; not all do.

I disagree, and given the situation today I think the founders would disagree as well.

When the Constitution was written, slavery was allowed and women could not vote. Are you under the impression we have never amended the Constitution?
