Every once in a while don’t you need nature to remind you how small we are, how much we don’t know, how incredible the natural world is, and how some creative force beyond our comprehension infuses everything?

I hear you. I was just responding to his love for his daughter and his acceptance of who she is.

Re-education??? You’ve got to be kidding me. This isn’t Communist China in 1949.

This is brilliant. Every parent should hear it.
MUST WATCH: Brandon Boulware, the father of a transgender daughter, testifies during a hearing asking Missouri lawmakers to stop discriminating against trans youth.

It's not a matter of "excessive centering." A physician talks to someone about their physical illness; a therapist talks about their psychological/emotional issues; a spiritual counsellor talks about their spiritual issues. It's not INSTEAD of other things. It's about all of them

No one who knows the history thinks he was passive. The bus boycott was not passive. The marches were not passive. The walk at Selma was not passive. He said, "Non-violence is materially passive but spiritually active." I recommend TESTAMENT OF HOPE. Every page explains it all.

I'm not responsible for how other people have misrepresented my views. The entire WORLD is a reflection of the fact that humanity has disconnected from the depths of who we are. We have desacralized everything-our relationship to ourselves, to each other, and to the earth itself.

When you're young you're rambunctious and you don't understand why we're not changing the world RIGHT NOW! When you're middle-aged you get all "Well, you know, things do take time and they're really very complicated." When you're older you get like WHAT THE F ARE WE WAITING FOR?!

I haven't stepped back from anything. What have I stepped back from?
