We should lower voting age to 17. People with small chance of even being here in 30 yrs shouldn't dominate decisions that affect those who will then be in their prime. Kids in high school are more at risk, have more at stake, and should have more power in determining the future.

Yes! Yes! Yes! The 40 year assault on unions needs to come to an end. #PROAct
LABOR: Rep. @IlhanMN supports PRO Act, says, "I rise in solidarity with the 5,800 mostly Black workers in Alabama who are currently fighting one of the most predatory corporations in the world, Amazon, to form a union."

Wonder and awe before the beauties of nature fuel my horror and rage at the evils of society. Nature is a constant reminder that things do not have to be the way they are.

Why is this woman even on trial? She was a journalist doing her job and should never have been arrested. This is chilling.
“I wasn’t doing anything wrong,” Sahouri said. “I said, ‘I’m press, I’m press, I’m press.’ He grabbed me, pepper-sprayed me and as he was doing so said, ‘That’s not what I asked’.” apnews.com/article/andrea-sa…

Corporate subsidies are second only to an unjust tax structure as an instrument of wealth transfer into the hands of a tiny few. Big Oil got $26B in subsidies in one year alone.

Every campaign moves the needle a bit. You keep just pushing and pushing and pushing…and finally there will be that Kairos moment.

I think about it too, and I wasn’t even one of those children. Tens of millions of American children are growing up with that trauma and even worse. Then we wonder where all the depression, suicide, addiction and rage come from…

The prophetic voice is fierce when it has to be. Love includes radical truth-telling, even - and perhaps especially - when it’s inconvenient for the status quo.
We voted for folks because they said, “Elect me and I am going to deal with systemic racism and I am going to pass a living wage of $15 an hour,” which is a compromise in and of itself. We have to hold people to what they said. salon.com/2021/03/08/rev-wil…
