Please say more?
This decision about Afghanistan is not just about Afghanistan. It's about ending an era of major military operations to remake other countries.

Even after the catastrophe in Afghanistan, or perhaps because of it, the military industrial complex is working to protect their profits. Unbelievable.
BREAKING: House GOP just quietly submitted an amendment to increase Pentagon spending by $25 BILLION. That would bring our defense budget to $778 BILLION. They want billions more for war even as we WITHDRAW FROM AFGHANISTAN. We HAVE TO stop this amendment. Please share this.

"We’re living in revolutionary times. And they’re revolutionary because they have to be. The way we are living on the earth, the way we’re organizing human civilization, is literally unsustainable. We know in our hearts that there must be a better way."mariannewilliamson.substack.…

Interesting.
As the Green Party’s candidate to succeed German Chancellor Angela Merkel, @ABaerbock is putting the climate crisis at the center of her agenda. “We have to work together on climate,” she tells me. “We have only one world and the climate doesn’t know any borders.”

If I didn’t have glasses or hearing aids my life and career would be seriously diminished. Bravo to Bernie for his compassionate insistence on this.
It is unacceptable to me that seniors in the richest country on earth cannot afford the hearing aids or the eyeglasses they need to hear and see their grandchildren.

This is an important move forward. It’s absurd to talk about health in this country without a serious conversation about the environment’s impact on it. reuters.com/article/us-usa-h…

I do, but let’s be very clear. It’s happening specifically because of the kind of pressure created by people complaining about starvation wages. This is not the time to let up. A lot of good things are happening now but they’re happening too slow; we need to be pushing for faster

About that human rights-centered foreign policy.
In March, the @UN said 400,000 Yemeni children could die without urgent help. They also said the ongoing #Saudi blockade of #Yemen was a key driver of this humanitarian crisis. Saudi coalition fuel restrictions are inflating prices & costing innocent lives. #Congress must act!

Excellent, but it should not take a year. People are struggling right now. Everyone reading this needs to remember that $450 million is nothing to that company. HTTPS://www.reuters.com/busi…

Hear! Hear!
We've promised time and again--including at the G-7--to stop fossil fuel subsidies, but they just never cease: a gift from the taxpayers to the forces that are wrecking the earth. Thanks to @RepRoKhanna @Ilhan etc for taking this on

Please this.
NEW: Chair @RepMaloney, Chair @RepRoKhanna, and Rep. @Ilhan led more than 50 Democrats in sending a letter to @SpeakerPelosi and @LeaderHoyer requesting that they include the repeal of #fossilfuel subsidies in the #BuildBackBetter Act. oversight.house.gov/news/pre…
