Not at all. And I’m very clear what the “real problem” is. The real problem is the undue influence of money on our government, turning it into a system of legalized bribery.

Of course not! But gargantuan profits at the expense of people’s lives sure are.

We can’t have environmental protection because of profits for fossil fuel companies; we can’t have universal healthcare because of profits for health ins. companies; we can’t have a more peaceful world because of profits for defense contractors. So at what point is enough enough?

This system is rotten to the core and people know it. #MedicareForAll
United Health made Health made $15.4 billion in profit in 2020. Insurance companies just announced they're bringing back co-pays and deductibles for covid.

If they can do it to anyone they can do it to you. #FreeStevenDonziger
Senators: our federal courts are ignoring your questions about @Chevron's orchestration of the nation's first corporate prosecution. Judges must be held accountable when they privately prosecute activists. The public — and my family — deserve answers. @SenMarkey @SenWhitehouse

Some say, “Yeah, but it didn’t really *do* anything” — but I think it did a lot. The idea that 1% own the majority of our financial resources was introduced into mainstream American consciousness in a way that it had never been before.mariannewilliamson.substack.…

Tell me you get how sick this is.
A juicy tidbit from a Biden national-security official's ethics forms: When consultants from the private sector advise intelligence agencies—like the CIA—they are paid through the defense contractors SAIC and Leidos. Here's to transparency!

I say the opposite. Perhaps it depends on how you define a miracle. Anyone who thinks transactional politics alone is going to fix the situation is naive; on a material basis alone the situation is already locked up. We need a massive uprising of consciousness among the people.
