Correct. And the Course says HS directs each of us the role we are to play in the Atonement. How are you to say it’s not very Course of me to do what my heart tells me is my assignment? Does HS tell you what I’m supposed to do, or does HS just tell you what you’re supposed to do?

If he wants to address the crisis among America’s children, that’s precisely who he’ll call.

Absolutely! What we’re talking about is how far they take it. The “prison-industrial complex” is a scourge that needs to end and this is a good beginning.

I agree, Jane. I didn’t mean to sound cynical. Thanks for the attitude correction:)

Absolutely they do! I certainly didn’t say otherwise.

I think her job is more than PR.

No. I think she’s actually trying to be a press secretary. Well, it was sarcasm about the “great leader.”

I know. The ice cream stuff is really awful. But still, if you look at the way she answers questions versus the way Sean or Sarah or Kaleigh did, there is a world of difference and I don’t mind acknowledging her for it.

With all due respect, we want a whole lot more than crumbs this time.
Today @POTUS is signing an executive action directing Dept of Justice not to renew any contracts with private prisons. Important move. I hope to hear the expansion of this order to ICE and all immigration detention centers soon.

"Biden's goal should be a massive infusion of hope into the life of the average American—not just to help them make it through the day, but something that will help them rebuild their lives. He must be willing to piss a lot of people off." My new op ed. newsweek.com/take-their-call…

I like @PressSec Jen Psaki. Good to see a WH press secretary doing the job of WH Press Secretary as opposed to just doing PR for the Great Leader.

Anything less than this and we will never have sufficient closure to this horrific chapter. It isn’t something we can just paper over and “move on.”
Too many Americans still believe the election was stolen. Congress should begin hearings on this big lie, and call as witnesses the 147 GOP members who voted to overturn it. If they lie under oath, they should be indicted and tried for obstructing justice and lying to Congress.

Not only can we afford it; we cannot afford not to. The price we’ll pay for the continued neglect of tens of millions of increasingly desperate people will be higher than anything that can be quantified in dollars.

Banks collected more than $30 BILLION in overdraft fees in 2020. Tell me again how the US doesn’t prey on the people who live paycheck to paycheck again.
