The State Dept. only works internationally; the Peace Dept. contains domestic as well as international peacebuilding efforts. canva.com/design/DAETmJyJ8zc…

What makes someone who is experiencing relief today less of a warrior for justice than you? I don’t get it.

It’s a deal. That’s all that I’m giving it too.

How does the fact that some of us are relieved that Trump is gone and that there is a new president with whom more things are now possible, mean that someone else knows what else we are or are not thinking about?

I think we’re using terms differently. When I say purification of heart, that doesn’t signify any less commitment to Medicare4All or any other progressive issues I care about. To me, if anything, it means readying my nervous system to take on the next phase of activism.

It’s a deal. (Not the guillotine part - but the back to politics as usual part.)

Is this the first situation in your life when you’re feeling a lot of things at the same time? The fact that some of us are grateful and relieved today doesn’t mean that we’re dumb & uncaring, and only those who feel differently are the true social justice warriors.

I see it the opposite way. Only when we purify our hearts of toxicity and bitterness will we be able to overturn the oligarchy.

Depends on how you define forgiveness.

Yes it is, if it’s real forgiveness.

It’s not too much to ask that we give one day to the cause of national reconciliation - a cease-fire of sorts - so we can regroup, purify our hearts of the toxicity of the last 4 years, forgive where we can, and realign ourselves with who we need to be to take on the work ahead.
