It’s unbelievable watching the Capitol police politely and carefully escorting protesters out of the capitol building. Compare that to how police met protesters with tear gas and violence in Portland and elsewhere.

Not really. There are high-minded conservative principles that used to infuse the Republican party, and high-minded liberal principles that used to infuse the Democratic Party. Higher principles are absolutely soulful.
