The voters of Georgia will determine the direction of this country for years to come, as they choose between a government that serves its people versus a government that neglects them at a time of urgent need.

Perhaps the worst part of this is that even a one time $2000 payment is itself a fraction of what other nations are providing it’s people as a way to make it through the pandemic. Without monthly payments, millions will still barely survive...or not.
$2000 checks is a matter of life and death for millions of Americans. Call your Senator at (202) 224-3121 and demand the Senate vote NOW on the bipartisan $2,000 direct payment legislation passed by the House of Representatives.

I hope everyone in Georgia will watch this. It illustrates perfectly the difference between a Democratic and a Republican Senate. pscp.tv/w/1PlJQPdvlDVGE?t=9s

It doesn’t currently mirror us, that’s the problem. It mirrors the needs of multinational corporate interests to maximize their profits more than it mirrors the will or the needs of the American people.

Middle class tax cuts are a good thing, but 83 cents of every $ of the $2T 2017 tax cut went to the wealthiest corporations & individuals. That’s not good economics; it’s theft.

They’re okay with billions of dollars in tax cuts & billions in corporate subsidies for their wealthy friends - plus no problem with a would-be dictator - but not okay with a one-time $2k to literally desperate people. I wonder what to them is outside the bounds of human decency.

There’s nothing “vital” about renaming military bases; nothing “vital” about a pay increase for the military since they’d get the $2k too; nothing “vital” about immediate assistance to the Balkans. What is “vital” is that we help millions of Americans in need. #LetThePentagonWait

I was thinking that too, since he tried last time. I bet there are so many people who would love to throw their hat in the ring.

If she stepped down, I have no doubt there would be people saying they wanted the job.

Schumer and Pelosi still take center stage. But when that changes...
