I mean thousands & thousands of people getting busy running for City Council, school boards, local and state and federal elections like never before. People who never thought that was something they would ever do, now waking up and realizing that it’s something that they must do.

I hope for every person breaking down in tears now not knowing how they’re going to stay in their home or get enough food over the next few weeks, there are at least 2 others feeling steely resolve unlike anything you’ve felt before to dedicate your life to a political revolution

It’s not just the money itself. It’s that thousands and thousands of people are being pushed to the absolute breaking point by this. Domestic violence, suicide, all ravages of extreme despair are unquestionably increasing at this moment. We should never forget what happened here.

That’s why we need a Dept. of Children and Youth, and why we should be front-ending our resources in the direction of early childhood. Massive attention to the needs of children before the age of ten would radically transform our society within one generation.
