The whole system is sociopathic at this point. The problem lies not only in where they don’t agree but also in where they do agree.

No, but only because the people of the United States aren’t there. It wouldn’t work. I don’t see it as an applicable solution to this time and place.

The more I read about the contents of the bill, the clearer it is that it is not really a “Covid relief” bill at all. That phrase is simply used as cover for the continuation of a massive power grab by those whose greed caused so much of the problem to begin with.

That is exactly what is happening. We’re in a full on nosedive and this Covid relief bill will do little more than change the angle of the descent.

What is the money you think is “flowing to other countries?” Only 01% of our spending - much less than every other advanced democracy - goes to humanitarian assistance to other countries. Most of it is military assistance that simply increases our own military industrial complex

The Covid relief bill does more to increase the military than to relieve the suffering of the American people. google.com/amp/s/www.foxbusi…

Do you think it’s only Republicans doing that? Really...? Do you think that the Republicans support the military industrial complex any more than the Democrats do? Do you realize how many times she gave Trump exactly what he wanted, regardless how many speeches she tore up?

Thank you for reporting on this. Infiltration of our police forces by white supremacist hate groups must be a primary focus of our next Attorney General.

“There have been a series of decisions, deliberate ones... that have built an economy that doesn't work for half the population or more.” I talked with MMT economist @StephanieKelton on #TheMWPodcast podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas…

I don’t disagree with that. In fact it’s why I think she should’ve made a deal a long time ago. But for me it has more to do with what the party says it stands for, even when it can’t achieve its goals. And some of the things in that bill are atrocious giveaways to the very rich.

If a sports team continues to lose, do they just blame the other teams? Don’t they start firing people? I have respect for her as a person but the Democratic Party does not present a compelling alternative vision. Biden won because he wasn’t Trump; it will take more than that now

Ha! That’s not the way democracy works.

Did you read the contents of the bill? Dems should be shouting from the rooftops that this is the most corrupt piece of legislation, total giveaway to corporate America with crumbs thrown to desperate citizens. For her to call it “significant” does NOT say “Party of the people.”
