It’s not a socialist attack; it’s a CORRUPTION attack.

When asked about her selling hundreds of thousands of $ of stock after attending a closed door coronavirus briefing, Kelly Loeffler said, “This gets at the very heart of why I came to Washington: to defend free enterprise, to defend capitalism, and this is a socialist attack.”🤦🏻‍♀️

FDR had a term that Bernie then used as well: “economic royalists.” They are those who resist policies that take the economic shackles off the average person, defending a system that at its very core finds the empowerment of the masses an annihilation of their cultural identity.

We’re talking about policies here, not a politician’s personal wealth. FDR was very wealthy. The problem in America is not that some people can make money; the problem is that not *enough* people can make money. And why? Because they’re locked out of the game by unjust policies.

Job creation by small businesses is only slightly smaller than that by big business. Government catering to big business does not help society, as the money is given at the expense of things people need (including higher wages). In fact it’s what has destroyed the middle class.

Sometimes I just close my eyes and allow myself to imagine the world as it should be, and damn if every time @StephanieKelton doesn’t appear as Treasury Secretary.

The first step in changing from a dirty economy to a clean economy, war economy to a peace economy, and a corporate economy to humanitarian economy, is a step we take in our own minds: realizing the only reason it’s not happening now is because someone convinced us that it can’t.

The meaning of something lies in whatever purpose we ascribe to it. Either the purpose of our govt is to serve its citizens or to serve the short term corporate profits of its donor class. The pernicious lie of the last 40 yrs is that the latter is really the former. But it's not
