There was no question.

One of the biggest obstructions to female empowerment is the fear, often legitimate, that if a woman speaks her mind she will be ridiculed. And not just by men! The only solution is to speak it anyway and to learn not to care.

So you think I should be under house arrest? This whole “nation of laws” thing just doesn’t work for you?

There is no such thing as “patriotic nationalism.” What you talked about is patriotism and a theory of good governance. Nationalism is a political pathology and should not be given any positive connotation.

So the vote count isn’t relevant?

Actually no. It means having to say you’re sorry about a whole lot of things.

Love doesn’t always mean “to make nice.” Taking a stand for justice in an unjust world doesn’t always come across as gentle.

Today Purdue's Chairman plead guilty to 3 felonies. $5.5B in penalties, most never to be collected due to bankruptcy. Sacklers NOT criminally charged. Purdue made $30 billion on OxyContin. 450,000 dead of overdose (twice the Covid toll). 2 dozen AGs object to settlement. Justice?

MSM News tells us Covid statistics every day. I’d like to also know eviction and hunger statistics every day. They participate in a systematic minimizing of depression era suffering among tens of millions of Americans. Making a problem less visible doesn’t mean it’s gone away.

The stock market doing well doesn’t necessarily translate into the people doing well. Yet for years a ruling elite has been more concerned about whether the market was depressed than with whether people were depressed...and with why.

You have nationalism and patriotism mixed up. What you described is patriotism. Nationalism is a dangerous belief that your country and only your country matters

When Steve Bannon said he wanted to “deconstruct the administrative state,” few realized how literal and serious he was about wanting to demolish the US government. On #TheMWPodcast this week, author Michael Lewis discusses what a risk that was. apple.co/2KFA11X
