You’re exactly what I mean.

They really need to beef up teaching civics in the schools. Tens of millions of Americans clearly know nothing about the difference between a democracy and a police state. Even worse, when they learn they seem to prefer the latter.

Is this some joke? Some clever manipulation your PR guys came up with? We see you...and so do the kids (if they don’t, we’re going to tell them).

Pretty well, given that people like you are still triggered by it.

That is not what a nation of laws means. What a nation of laws means is that if you committed a crime the police have the right to arrest you, then if you are charged a prosecutor has a right to decide whether or not to try you in court. Civics 101.

No, you don’t get to get away with saying that. In the United States it is not our system that if you commit a crime the police get to just come and shoot you. We are a nation of laws, not a police state.

Police in other countries would’ve found a way to deal with it. I like to think most other police in the United States would’ve found a way to deal with it. Can you imagine the panic that sets in for a 17-year-old black kid in America when he sees a police car?

When I was in college, 300,000 people were in prisons across the United States. Today it’s over 2.3 million. The real crime here is the advent of the private prison industry. Billions of dollars are made off human suffering and injustice.
Imagine. You’re locked in a confined space w/ dozens. 23 hrs movement restricted. No masks. Forced to share toilet. Either no soap or soap you can’t afford. Many likely have symptoms. Complain: you’re retaliated against. Medical care denied. This is US jails/prisons right now.

Umm hmm...we’re getting to the T word.
Hey Mitch, this has gone way past counting votes and presenting legal challenges. Trump is trying to overthrow a legally elected president and thwart the will of 80 million voters. Do we dare call this what it is: treasonous. How long will you stay silent?
