When Jacinda Adern said she wanted NZ to be the best place in the world for a child to grow up, I thought to myself “No country should be a better place than America for a child to grow up.” We have a long way to go but we need to try to get there. It at least should be our goal.

If you want to know what your society will be in 10 years, look at how you’re treating your 10-year-olds today. The invisibility of children to America’s political establishment is a blind spot that will cost us dearly. We need a massive & fundamental change in how we treat them.

We’re often told the hundreds of billions of dollars we spend every year to “fight terror” is because of movements that grew out of tens of millions of young men in the Middle East who have nowhere to go and no way to make a living. What do you think we’re gonna have in 10 years?

Good. Then we’re agreed on that.

Those denying #directcashrelief for tens of millions facing eviction now have no idea the problems they’re creating. Children are in those homes & they’re watching; they’ll grow up traumatized & angry. Dealing with that will one day cause overwhelming problems for this society.

His blood runs very cold.
WH economic adviser Stephen Moore on stimulus: "I don't see Republicans budging on the blue state bailout, and the economy is doing fine -- much better than anyone expected. We think the economy is strong because Trump didn't go along with a deal"

I work very hard and earn my way. But I see all the ways I was given a foothold, provided with circumstances that helped me get started. Why should people have less chance to make it today then I had when I was young? There needs to be a basic minimum of support for success.

What do the CEO and stockholder class of health insurance companies, Big Pharma, the NRA, chemical companies, Big Oil and defense contractors have if not an “entitlement mentality?”

The consequence will be a huge stimulus to the US economy. That much more money will be in people’s hands and they will spend it.

Higher education statistically increases someone’s earning power, and lack of financial burden increases the chances that someone will be a happy and creative employer or employee. That’s when real earning power begins!

The United States once had a thriving middle class and we can have a thriving middle class again, but not until we stop the major transfer of wealth into the hands of 1% of Americans through tax cuts for top earners and corporate subsidies. #stopthebleed

It’s telling people what you would do if you had power, and giving them the choice whether or not to vote for you. That’s not a bribe; it’s democracy.
