This is a democracy. Legitimate policy differences with a politician is not an “attack.”

Yes yes yes yes yes. This is extremely important and each of us has to educate ourselves on the issue. As usual, @ErinBrockovich is leading the way (she’ll be on my podcast soon!). Don’t do it, Joe!!! No DuPont insiders anywhere near the EPA! theguardian.com/commentisfre…

$2k/mo for everyone ‘til pandemic is over, $1K/mo UBI after that, end corporate subsidies, increase taxes on corporations & top earners, Medicare4All, free college & tech schools, cancellation of college loan debt. That would begin the process of a much needed course-correction.

Poverty is treated by our govt like it’s an inconvenience, a charitable cause rather than the dark underbelly of systemic economic injustice. The champions of the poor are viewed as ragamuffins who need to learn to behave, radicals too immature to understand how the system works.

In the United States however there was no excuse for it. We are the richest country in the world.

Poverty should be attacked with the same seriousness and intention to eradicate as we need to display toward Covid. In many ways it too can be a killer, as deaths of despair - suicide, addiction & abuse - increase in its presence. It should not be treated like a secondary problem

We weren’t played. Those of us who voted for Biden knew we had to get Trump out of the White House first, then the work we’re doing now is the work we’d be having to do.

.@RonaldKlain You said on CNN the Biden administration will help businesses stay open, but there was no mention of individual stimulus checks. Why not #directcashrelief? People need help immediately.

I didn’t say we should be better than others; I said no one should be better than us. I think the leader of every country should be committed to no one being better at that. There was nothing “American exceptionalism” about what I said
