This is so outrageous. All this woman is trying to do is save lives. She’s a democratically elected governor of a state, one who has already been threatened and abused, and I suppose it’s at the behest of his boss that he is doing this. Bullies both.

Whether in the life of an individual or the life of a nation, there are times of crisis when we have to admit to ourselves that our entire foundation is wrong. We have to see that, atone for it, make amends for it, and commit to change. Nothing less will do.

I agree. We’re not doomed forever. But the consequences are already here. It’s like the Civil War; it wasn’t the end of this country, but a terrible price had to be paid. We’re paying one now

Americans are going to have to dig deep. We’re going to have to atone in our hearts for allowing a political system so rife with corruption to sell out our people for the sake of corporate dollars. When we get the $ out of politics we’ll get the toxicity out of our national soul.

So gazillionaires could have as many yachts & planes & penthouses as they pleased, we created a vast sea of undereducated people w/ the legitimate gripe their needs had been forsaken. When the party that cares suppressed the candidate who most wanted to help them, we were doomed.

The major transfer of wealth into the hands of a tiny few began in 1980 with Reaganomics.

America is paying the price - a terrible one - for the fact that we haven’t prioritized a world-class education or economic opportunities for all our citizens. When you think where we put our resources instead, it’s painful to realize how we brought so much of this on ourselves.

The richest country in the world providing healthcare, education and economic opportunity for its citizens is the furthest thing in the world from turning them into “parasites void of all character, dignity and worth.”

No kidding. I’m tired of hearing we should be reaching out and trying to “understand.”

That’s it right here.
We have to govern from a place of love. Because I love you, I care that you have food to eat, a roof over your head, a safe place to live, the healthcare you need, and the education you deserve. My love means I want to see every single person live a decent life.

He’s right.
The delusional refusal of Republicans to acknowledge the election results isn’t some quaint sideshow. It’s an assault on democracy that has lasting impact. If half the country starts to believe that elections are rigged then it’s hard to hold together a country this diverse.

Americans are very good with a to-do list. When there’s a problem we want somebody to write down exact instructions what to do & we’ll try to fix if. But this isn’t one of those moments; there aren’t neat simple answers and the psychological stress of that is almost intolerable.
