Actually, no one here is ignoring Jesus. But I certainly reject that smugness and arrogance which is so totally different than anything he said or was.

A serious conversation should be initiated at the highest levels of government with tribal leaders in several states.

We should definitely give back the Black Hills of South Dakota. That was promised in a treaty in 1864.

I’m a “regulate-it-fairly and keep it in its lane” kind of girl. I know that’s a disappointment to some but it’s a relief to others. It’s simply my truth.

In order to save human civilization, we must do what every archetypal goddess figure says to do: protect the children (which means everyone’s child) and tend to the home (which means the earth itself). She’s called the “divine mother.” She’s not joking & she’s fierce when pissed.

Election law means nothing to them; they’re a lawless crowd. If the law’s an impediment to their will they just shoo it away. Supreme irony they say they’re for “law and order,” as they’re purveyors of lawlessness & chaos. The old “l’ll say you’re doing what I’m doing” technique.

When I was a child, my parents loved me & we had enough to eat. They could also afford to send me to college. As the years have gone by & I’ve seen more of life, my appreciation for what they were able to give me has only increased. I didn’t need hardship to teach me to work hard

But there’s the rub: Improve the economy for WHO? What many people call “improving” the economy is actually now improving it for a few at the expense of the many. That’s not improvement; it’s injustice.

And what do you think a lot of that mental illness came from if not a life of such overwhelming despair?

I don’t mean this disrespectfully but I have a feeling you’re not poor. You’re right that happiness is not tied to wealth but that’s not a reason to justify a lack of economic justice.

We can’t change them. But what we can do - and must do - is provide an awesomely beautiful and compelling alternative to the narrative they’ve been sold.

What has to change in order for humanity to survive another hundred years? Pretty much everything, so we may as well get started.
