I wish someone could explain to me why police in other countries de-escalate situations nonviolently in so many instances where police in the U.S. are more likely to shoot to kill. We talk about “better police training” but nothing seems to change...

Got it. But I have read about police being trained in non-lethal methods of de-escalation, to be sure.

It’s a training one, without a doubt.

Check out the nature of training to be a policeman in Germany compared to training to be a policeman in the United States. I read an article I will try to find again…

Of course. No one should be defending looting. My point is that it should not get more attention and condemnation than violence toward innocent citizens.

Priority: police should not attack peaceful protesters exercising their Constitutional rights. When they do, THEY are not innocent.

Anyone really concerned with biblical principles IS concerned with social justice. Justice and love are aspects of the face of God.

The wealth of the Walton family makes building another Walmart the equivalent of buying lunch one day but human life is priceless & can never be replaced. Plus the economic policies of places like Walmart contribute to the societal dysfunction at the root of so much of the chaos.
