I believe abortion is a moral issue, absolutely. But to me it is an issue of private rather than public morality and that govt has no right to determine a woman’s moral choices. I trust the conscience and moral decision making of the American woman.

The undervaluing of life (of those already born, of course) and the overvaluing of material things is essential to the maintenance of an economic system that thrives on the destruction of the earth, outsized militarism & known harm to people’s health through environmental toxins

Yes, of course we should be disgusted by both. But destruction of property is often given greater focus and attention in America today than is destruction of life. And that is worth noting. It is a perversion of moral values.

There are people in this country more concerned about a Walmart being looted than about an innocent man being killed. Many of them tout the Bible, but “Thou shall not loot” is not in there. “Thou shalt not kill” sure is.
