When asked who I would call first, I said “Jacinda Adern.” She’d said she wanted NZ to be the best place in the world for a child to grow up and I wanted to say to her “Girlfriend you’re on. America will be as good a place as any for a child to grow up.” Such mockery followed.

What?!?!?!?
A Portland woman arrested during an August protest still doesn't know why she was forced to take a pregnancy test—which civil rights lawyers say is unlawful. portlandmercury.com/blogtown…

We are a constitutional republic as well as a representative democracy. It’s like saying we have a roof and windows at the same time.

I agree.
Listen to @joshfoxfilm on why it's crucially important that we #VoteTrumpOut in swing states. Donald Trump winning means that our movement is preoccupied for the next 4 years playing defense. If Biden is elected, then we get to go on offense. WE get to determine the agenda.

That so many millions of people have already voted is a sign of the decency & spirit of the American people. There’s a golden mean in American politics & it won’t stand for the kind of corruption we’ve seen in this administration. We’re breaking the freefall of American democracy

That he so flagrantly disregards the constitution, our laws and the norms of American democracy is not of itself as depressing as the fact that so many people don’t seem to have a problem with it.
