To those worried that being part of the political drama is pulling you into “negativity,” remember there’s nothing negative about yelling “FIRE!!” if in fact the house is burning down. Nor is there anything holy about complacency. The doctor doesn’t look away from the wound.

You might not think they offer you anything but you sure do offer them a lot.

The temptation is to just observe what’s happening & hope for the best. Better if we ask ourselves what we can do to help achieve the best result. Here’s one way: protectthevote.net/?source=k…

“Retribution.” That is the exact opposite of a nation based on laws; it is the behavior found in a police state.
This is OUTRAGEOUS. According to 21 of 22 witnesses, law enforcement did not identify themselves or say anything before killing Reinoehl. They fired 30 rounds from 2 handguns and 2 rifles. Trump then praised this as “retribution” nytimes.com/2020/10/13/us/po…

Correct, if it’s done in a way that uplifts the people who live in the neighborhood. But too often it’s done in a way that basically squeezes out the people who’ve been living in the neighborhood.

No I haven’t. I’m raising the same issues I’ve been talking about and thinking about for the last 25 years.

I suggested the other day that people who have an extra wheelchair should take it with them to their polling place. It’s these kinds of things that are going to happen all over America I think. If we talk about it now then people will become very inventive.

It’s shocking that no one seems to be able to stop this. It’s also terrifying to think how much more of it will happen if he receives another term. theintercept.com/2020/10/10/…

Quite the opposite. But no amount of private charity can compensate for a basic lack of social justice.

You have to name a wound before you can heal it. We can’t just bring light to darkness; we have to bring the darkness to light.

Yes yes yes.
It’s the same funders selecting judges, funding campaigns for the judges and then showing up in courts in these orchestrated amicus flotillas and telling those judges what to do. It’s all one big #DarkMoney scheme.

It is not a Democratic phenomenon. It was originally a bipartisan effort, Trump supports it and it’s Democrats who sre trying to fix or repeal it.

Most “opportunity zones” become an opportunity to exploit the neighborhoods where they’re crested. They’re opportunity for forces of gentrification to come into underprivileged neighborhoods, exploit them for financial gain & siphon the wealth created back out of the neighborhood

Remember, they can only steal an election where the vote is close. We have to more than win. We have to win overwhelmingly.

You said it, Bernie.
On #PrimeDay, let's not forget. During the pandemic, Jeff Bezos became $97 billion richer by increasing prices by up to 1,000% on essential items and denying hazard pay and paid sick leave to over 450,000 of his workers. It's time to break up Amazon and tax the rich.
