I hope the people who did this will be tried to the full extent of the law, making it clear to anyone who even thinks about something horrible like this that it will absolutely not be tolerated. This is an attack not just on her but on all of us.

We talk about how not to be a racist & we should talk about how not to be a misogynist. Among other things it means refusing to be quiet when a woman is gratuitously diminished, when in fact she just said or did something at least as intelligent as what a man just said or did.
