I’m not talking about the Iranian government. I’m talking about everyday Iranian people who will have a very difficult time getting food, medicine for their children, insulin, dialysis, things they need for everyday existence. This will only create more hatred and more chants.

“Peaceful sanctions?!”Sometimes sanctions are appropriate. But Trump’s against Iran go too far. The fact that they have extended them in such a way that normal everyday people will suffer as they will - there’s nothing peaceful about them at all. In fact they are very violent.

This is extremely important. We had had “compassionate exceptions” to our sanctions before, and these new ones will cause tremendous suffering. This is not what we should be doing.

I’m not demonizing the rich; I’m calling out an unjust system that makes it too easy for a few to get richer and too hard for too many to even survive. And many rich people agree. A righteous person doesn’t want to create wealth at the expense of someone else having a chance to.
