Rest In Peace, Ruth Bader Ginsberg. Lord, we have big shoes to fill. In a statement dictated to her granddaughter days before her death, RBG said “My most fervent wish is that I will not be replaced until a new President is installed.” Let’s do our best to make her wish come true

I’m going to vote for the one who isn’t an out and out fascist. Waking up to how corrupt our system is, is not necessarily a display of political sophistication if it leaves out “But the other one is intentionally evil.”

I have frequently had the same thought recently. “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” - Edmund Burke
For the first 49 years of my life, I wondered how the Holocaust could have happened. I don't wonder any more.

I agree 100%. People who think these people are kidding are kidding themselves.
AG Bill Barr openly suggesting locking up political opponents is enough of a reason to vote. This should not have to be explained.

Privatization became all the rage in the 1980s. That’s when private prisons began, replacing any shred of federal humanitarian standards with the profit motive. This story has been repeated a million times. nytimes.com/2020/09/17/us/la…

Until the 1980s these stock buybacks weren’t even legal. The Reagan era fundamentally gutted the US economy of any moral or ethical constrictions. Their mantra was “Let corporations do whatever they want!” And God help us, too many of them did and they do. cnn.com/2020/09/11/business/…

When Eisenhower first walked into a liberated concentration camp, he said to the soldiers around him, “Start taking pictures. Start taking pictures - because someday some son of a bitch is going to try to say this never happened.”

Nearly a quarter of young people are now ignorant or skeptical WRT the Holocaust Attacking the legitimacy of factual historical accounts isn't just geared towards white-washing the past—it also sets the stage for repeat performances of history's most atrocious scenes

When my daughter was a little girl, @Raffi_RC was like a little kid’s rock star. A little bit Sesame Street, a little bit Dr. Seuss, his magic with children is perfect for now.
🎹 my song in support of #BlackLivesMatter, from a longtime admirer of MLK (from my teens on). I imagine teachers, parents with their young in teachable moments, singing and sharing about freedom and justice. facebook.com/Raffi.Cavoukian… #edchat #belugagrads #BlackLivesMatterToMe

Of course I decry violence, either from Left or Right. Have said so often. But 93% of the protesters are peaceful and practicing a Constitutional right.

I don’t feel like anything I’ve stood for has changed. It’s not negative to yell “Fire!” if the house is indeed burning down, there’s nothing holy about complacency in the face of danger & there’s nothing loving about allowing fear to destroy those things which are most precious.

First they attack protesters to make people afraid to protest. Then they attack the press to make reporters afraid to cover the protests. The time to stand firm is NOW. google.com/amp/s/www.dailyne…

I’m not shaming anyone, I’m expressing my opinion. But an awful lot of people are shaming me for that.
