It was terrible. No one can say I didn’t know about that or take a stand against it - & I did a whole lot more than tweet. But using that as an excuse to help elect someone who is even worse makes no logical or moral sense whatsoever.

It’s well-established that 93% of the protesters have been peaceful. Of course violent agitators should be held accountable, whether from the left or the right.

It is absolutely not a stretch. It is the next logical step in their progression, and one they would feel emboldened to undertake were they to win a second term.

Also, a lack of education. 20 years ago there was such a focus on STEM as opposed to teaching the humanities, that teaching history got short shift. If you don’t learn about the Bill of Rights when you’re a child, you don’t know as an adult to be appalled when it’s under attack.

1/ You know how federal agents in Portland poured into a crowd of peaceful protesters to attack them? Give Trump a second term and they won’t even have to do that. They’ll simply go onto the Internet and start rounding up people who have googled words like “Antifa” or “BLM.”

When people on the left revise history to suit their political prejudices it’s no different than when people on the right do it. It’s deeply unethical & jams our mental circuits. Don’t learn your history from tweets - mine or anyone else’s. READ.

It leads to fascism only if no one stands up to it. A lot of people complaining now did nothing to stand up to it over the last decade. As someone who did, I saw the reluctance people had to complaining about Obama etc
