I can tell your sincerity. I hope you feel I’m meeting you with mine.

It will give us four years to rock this country with some enlightened activism.

How many people complaining now about neoliberalism did absolutely nothing during the Obama years to complain or try to change things? I think it would be different this time.

What makes you think I’m not out there?

To get Trump out of the White House. Re a strike, theoretically you could do both.

Perhaps want to read up on some things. If Biden is president, you’re not going to be thrown in jail for googling “Antifa.” If Trump and Barr are still in office, I’m not sure.

Again, it has laid the foundation for it. Yes. But with a neoliberal president we will have four years to try to steer the ship in another direction. With Trump as president, people don’t seem to realize the level on which our options will be shut down. There will be no chance.

If I didn’t see the evil you’re naming I would not have spent an entire year of my life taking on the most vile mockery for saying exactly what you’re saying and not being heard, even by those now saying it! But my point remains. And I do march.

Right now, voting Trump out of office is the most powerful direct action available to us.

I don’t disagree, but we still need to give ourselves the opportunity to replace them. If Trump wins, the already frayed machinery of democracy will be essentially demolished. Our chance to stop that is now.

Because not enough of us stood up to take them on. I would know.

It did, I agree with that. But let’s give ourselves four years to fix it as opposed to just giving in to fascism now.

That might happen. But if he wins again, it will without a doubt happen. He will cut off our opportunities – much more than he is even doing now - to oppose his agenda going forward. This could be our last chance.
