The problem is not that a bunch of corporate CEOs sit around thinking about ways to hurt people or planet, because they don’t; the problem is that they don’t think it’s their job to have to think about it one way or the other. That’s how an amoral system produces immoral results.

They speak very differently, but what they’re silent about is very much the same.

“Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.” John F. Kennedy. You can condemn violent protests -which I do - and at the same time recognize that the corruption of a heartless economic & justice system is largely responsible for them.

I supported UBI throughout my campaign and I support it still. I’ve spoken about #DirectCashRelief ever since Covid began.

Are millions of underinsured and uninsured Americans okay with their lack of healthcare, happy to sacrifice their health so the “free market” can thrive? An economic system should serve a people, the people should not serve an economic system.

Perhaps they only smash people.

Our healthcare policies should not be driven by the financial preferences of health insurance or big pharmaceutical companies; they should be driven by the needs of the American people.
Medicare for All is now supported by 88% of Democratic voters and 70% of all voters. It is not a far-left issue or a radical issue anymore. It is a popular policy that the American people want.

You too. It’s got to be all of us. The sisterhood.

Northern California fires are at the edge of an ancient redwood forest where the oldest tree is 2000 years old. The tragedy of what’s going on there is immeasurable. 🙏🏻

We’re living through a time of all systems breakdown, and it’s exhausting trying to hold it all. But the human brain has so much more capacity than we’re used to using, and so does the heart. No matter what else is happening we can’t take our eyes off the climate crisis.
I never imagined my beloved Northern California would be ground zero for the impacts of the #ClimateCrisis, but heartbreakingly, we are. It had to be somewhere. We have to act swiftly to mitigate some of what is to come. We can create a green economy, but we must act swiftly.

I don’t agree. Not every rich person is a greedy bastard. This has to do with systems, not individuals.
