What Republicans and some Democrats call “far left” refers to policies (free healthcare, etc) that in most European countries are considered mainstream and moderate. In those countries, our slavish devotion to trickle down economics is what would be considered extreme.

What are you saying?? We shouldn’t try?? It’s never been perfect but that’s not a reason not to try, and at points where it has and does work it’s the source of our greatest creativity and good.

I heard Trump say on a Fox interview last night that he’s done more for Black people than any president since Lincoln, and that actually he has probably done more. 🤦🏻♀️ With that, I go back to bed.

That video of George Floyd’s murder made all the difference in the world. No one could see it and remain in denial about what’s going on. But I respect everyone’s take on this and people should do what they feel led to do.

I think a lot of people are afraid to give themselves permission to say what they actually believe. That’s why women have to start speaking up more, by the way. Not mimicking the language of men, but speaking the language of our own hearts. And supporting each other when we do.
