1/ If you don’t know what the Proud Boys are, you should probably learn. A gay friend of mine in NYC told me a couple of years ago that he & his boyfriend were at a bar in Brooklyn & these Proud Boys came over & told them that it was time for them to leave, the place was closing.

I know marriages that are on the brink because of Trump’s presidency. I have close girlfriends who are Trump supporters and we’ve had to work on our relationships. But I think love is worth protecting. I just do.

The @PortlandPolice made a loud statement today. They have attacked #PortlandProtesters nightly for almost any infraction. But when the Proud Boys come with guns, shields, and metal pipes, and beat protesters and aim firearms, the police do nothing. They sent a message.

Please pay attention to Portland right now. Proud boys and other far-right people are macing, swinging pipes, shooting paint balls, and generally attacking Black Lives Matter protesters. And police, who declare a riot when BLM protests every night, are letting it happen.
