Grifter arc? Curious what that is.
I voted for @POTUS in order to interrupt the trajectory of chaos & authoritarianism represented by Donald Trump. I continue to lobby left in service to my beliefs, but I’m grateful for & praise the things Biden’s already doing to display progress & maturity we were sorely lacking

When asked at the Dem debate about Flint, Mi I responded that environmental injustice occurs all over the country - in places such as Denmark, SC & others. How did I know? Because of Deanna Miller Berry! Help get this woman started in her political career and I KNOW she'll go far

Activist Deanna Miller Berry made history! She's incredible & on the rise, the youngest African American female Mayoral candidate to build momentum for the highest voter turnout in her county. Please help her win the run off!secure.actblue.com/donate/de… #NewDenmark #RuralAmericaSpeaks

The thing about Love is that it collapses the temporal order. Instead of walking down the street you leap across the field.

Anger as a political motivation is like white sugar; it gives you an adrenaline high but then you crash. Love as a political motivation is genuine nourishment; it’s slower coming on, more time-released, but ultimately provides much greater strength and staying power.

Eisenhower said “the American mind at its best is both liberal and conservative.” At best they’re like a yin and yang. The problem is that high minded, principled conservatives no longer dominate the Republican Party.

High-minded conservatism means conserving those things that are eternally true. It has an important role in the thesis-antithesis that brings about a new synthesis.

No system survives that isn’t open to change. A generation that was hardly even born in the 20th century should feel no allegiance to its biggest mistakes.

41 of the 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence were slaveowners. So let’s not romanticize and whitewash what was always morally fraught.

The Indian Independence movement and the civil rights movement. And yes people’s hearts still bled, but birth is messy whether of a human being or of a new cultural order. But look how many people’s hearts are bleeding right now.

The revolution we need has already begun; it’s in its infancy but it’s growing. It’s a revolution of consciousness: that the way it is is not the way it has to be. And a revolution of heart: that love should guide politics and economics as well as every other aspect of life.

Kinda. I would change “fault” to “responsibility.”

(🤦🏻‍♀️I’ve written 14 of them.)Beyond that, abolition came from the abolitionist party. Women’s suffrage came from the women’s party. Social Security came from the socialist party. Any more books I should read?

Same with stubbing your toe or catching your finger in a door. Multiply that exponentially and you start to see how your energy creates your life experience.
