It’s not “buying votes” to give people what they need in order to survive, making them more likely to vote for you.

If they’re not going to do $2k a month and they’re not going to do student loan debt cancellation and they’re not going to do an immediate $15 minimum wage hike, how do Democrats expect to get enough people to vote for them in ‘22? We’re on a disastrous path here...

Abolishing ICE does not mean you don’t have a border! There still needs to be a law enforcement element of border patrol obviously, but ICE has become an unjust and often cruel entity unto itself.

.@seanhannity I heard you talking on Fox tonight about conservative values. Since you said it’s about limited government & getting government out of our lives, shouldn’t you be with us on getting rid of the Patriot Act and the Department of Homeland Security, and abolishing ICE?

In other news, NASA's Perseverance rover lands on Mars tomorrow, after 6.5 months traveling 292.5 million miles. Coverage starts 2:15 pm Eastern time on nasa.gov. Wow.

Some people would rather see others die then make it harder for an old boys club to make $ at the expense of the public good. It’s not radical to think government should do the bare minimum to ensure public safety; what’s radical is to think it shouldn’t. houstonchronicle.com/busines…

My point is that the corporatist way is clearly failing us right now and people can see that. Don’t worry about the money or the world power. Just think about the power of a better idea and how to convey it with conviction. It’s the conversation that will create the forcefield.

Say it anyway! Saying it attracts the constituency to support it.

On many fronts, some w/ tragic consequences, an old way of doing things is proving itself inadequate to challenges that confront us. Mindset that created the problem is not the mindset that will solve it. Right now is our window of opportunity to come on strong with better ideas.

The Texas grid got crushed because its operators didn’t see the need to prepare for cold weather; short term profits over long term guarantee of safety. This situation is the best argument FOR, not against, a Green New Deal. washingtonpost.com/business/…
